Midori Moriyama, a visual artist from Japan, proudly presents bloom 咲く, her first exhibition outside Japan. The show will run at ZHAN Art | Space from 9-15 December 2019.

bloom focuses on the beauty and differences of blooming flowers in Japan’s four seasons – spring, summer, autumn and winter. The flowers chosen for this 25-piece series have a sense of strength in their own way, which is also one of the reasons to why she chose them. Each artwork is made from Washi, a Japanese paper with an applied Momi Gami technique.

Midori graduated with a Bachelor degree in Japanese Art from the Kyoto University of Art and Design. She has previously exhibited in Gallery Aube, Kyoto (2019) and Miyako messe, Kyoto (2019).
